JAM Architects ranks #1 for architects Geelong and is on page one for half of the Geelong searches we tracked. But the Richmond studio is close to invisible: of 60 Melbourne searches, one reaches the top 100. Multi-residential, master planning, planning permits and commercial work, the projects JAM is known for, have no page of their own to rank. This proposal builds that structure and puts ongoing SEO behind it.
JAM Architects delivers architecture, planning applications, VCAT representation, master planning, interiors and 3D visualisation across residential, multi-residential, commercial, retail and public work, from studios in Richmond and Geelong. The portfolio is the proof: 78 projects, from Hampton Quarter's 170+ apartments to The Mill master plan in Geelong. The website does not give Google anything to rank that work for.
#1 for architects, architecture firms, architectural consultants and multi residential architects in Geelong. A strong, trusted domain to build on.
The homepage and Practice page answer all 17 searches that rank. One page cannot win Geelong and Melbourne, homes and apartments, interiors and VCAT at once.
No Melbourne page, no service pages and no sector pages. The services sit in collapsed panels on the Practice page, linked to anchors rather than pages.
No rebuild needed. The design suits the practice and the domain already ranks. The work is adding the pages Google needs, fixing the technical basics and turning your projects into proof, all inside the monthly SEO retainer.
We tracked 85 searches on 15 October 2026 from Melbourne, covering every service and sector you work in, across Melbourne, Geelong and Victoria. You are on page one for 11 and in the top 100 for 17. Sixteen of those 17 are Geelong searches. Every search that ranks is answered by the homepage or the Practice page; no project page ranks for anything.

All 85 rows parsed and reconciled to the report's own summary panel (4 at #1, 2 at #2 to 3, 5 at #4 to 10, 4 at #11 to 20, 2 at #21 to 100, 68 at 101+). Ranking pages: homepage for 14 searches, Practice page for 3.
What the site already does well, and what is holding it back. Checked on the live site, 16 October 2026.
Every one of the 85 searches is someone looking for an architect: a developer with a site, a business planning a fit-out, a family planning a home. Not every search is worth the same fee. Multi-residential, mixed use, master planning and commercial projects carry the largest fees, and that is where JAM ranks least. The portfolio proves you do this work; the website does not tell Google.
Money terms: all 85 searches in the 15 October report, grouped by the type of project and ordered by the typical value of the fee. Search volumes and click values for each term are measured in Google Keyword Planner in month 1 and used to set the order of work.
Today the site asks the homepage to rank for everything. We keep the homepage as your Geelong page, where it already wins, and build the pages Google needs for Melbourne, each service and each sector, all linked to the projects that prove them.
The basics that make every new page count.
Your project pages become the evidence behind every service and sector page.
Once the pages exist, the monthly work does three jobs: moves Melbourne searches onto page one, keeps both Google Business Profiles working for the map results in Richmond and Geelong, and makes sure that when a developer asks Google, ChatGPT or Gemini for a multi-residential architect in Melbourne, the answer can include JAM.
AI tools and Google both favour the practice whose website explains its work clearly: what was built, where, for whom and what JAM did. Your projects already hold that story. Written out on the right pages, they become the answer to the questions developers and businesses ask.
The technical clean-up comes first, then the pages in order of fee value.

One monthly fee covers everything in this proposal: the technical clean-up, the new studio, sector and service pages, project content, SEO and both Google Business Profiles. There is no separate setup or rebuild fee.
The bottom line. $1,000 + GST a month, starting on acceptance, covering the structure fix and ongoing SEO together.
All fees are in Australian dollars and exclude GST. Fresh Digital is registered for GST. The SEO retainer is $1,000 + GST a month ($1,100 once GST is added), payable monthly in advance from acceptance. No ranking position or number of enquiries is promised; results are measured and reported, not guaranteed. The website, its content and your accounts remain yours. Payment details are at the end of this proposal. This proposal is valid until 16 November 2026.
No. The homepage keeps its Geelong focus and its #1 positions. The new pages take on Melbourne and the individual services and sectors, which the homepage does not rank for today, and they link back to it.
No. The design suits the practice and the domain already ranks. The work is adding pages, fixing headings and project content, and linking it together, all included in the monthly retainer.
Melbourne is far more competitive than Geelong, and the site has no page built for it. The homepage tries to cover both cities and every service, and Google has rewarded it for Geelong only. A Melbourne studio page and the sector pages give Melbourne searches something specific to rank.
The Geelong searches at #11 to 20 usually move first, within the first few months. Melbourne is competitive and takes longer, so the pages are built in order of fee value. You get a report every month and a full review against the 15 October baseline at month 6.
Which work you want more of, details on your best projects, any awards, testimonials and planning wins, and access to the website and both Google profiles. The list is in section 04.
